Barrett's Mixology: Irish EggnogIrish Eggnog 1 oz. Bailey's Irish Cream Serve chilled. I spent last holiday season on a little hunting trip down in Newnan, Georgia. We spent my last afternoon there barbecuing a large pork shoulder, and the evening feasting on the fruits of our labor with a little homecooked cornbread dressing (stuffing to many of you) and some sweet potato souffle. Newnan is as pleasant as any good Southern town, and they sure know how to fill a man up after a long morning of hunting. With the taste of barbecue sauce still in our mouths, we decided to head down to the anteroom at the RNH Hunting Lodge to help us ease into the holiday spirit a little bit. We were surprised to discover that we were too early in the season for eggnog, so we asked the bartender to whip us up something equally smooth. The result was satisfying and brought out much holiday cheer. |
