Diversity-Crats Take Over

Does [Institutional Diversity and Equity] czar Ozzie Harris's devotion to "supporting, assisting and enhancing...pluralism" incite jealousy in the heart of [Office of Pluralism] impresario [Tommy Lee] Woon? How does IDE's coordination of "opportunities for all administrators, faculty, students, [and] staff" differ from the partnerships OPAL cultivates with the same constituency?

Dealing with the Real Problem

These are not the questions that should be raised to attack effectively the main problem of how we, as individuals and as organizations, can stop sexual assault. It's time to make goals and implement plans to achieve them. To start, however, we must dispense with the shrill sensationalism that has heretofore dominated campus discourse on sexual assault.

A Three-hour Tour; A Three-hour Tour

You knew at least a few of those schools were lying. And the lying makes sense; it's always best to tell prospective students and their parents what they want to hear. But apart from a few white lies about nationally ranked collegiate burritos and spacious student residences, you may wonder what else the colleges may be hiding from prospective students? Specifically, what is Dartmouth hiding on its tours? I decided to find out.

Le Roi est Mort. Vive le Roi!

In arguing that the West had constructed an Oriental "Other" for the purposes of subduing, dominating, and exploiting it, however, Said , to use the lingo of his acolytes, constructed a Western bogeyman of his own. Perhaps the irony escaped him, or Dr. Said continues to con his faithful at Dartmouth from beyond the grave.

One Straight Shooter: Robert Haines

There's not many things that are lower than stealing an American flag on a Sunday morning from a Presidential candidate. That's pretty low. That is "Bad" with a capital "B." So I said, "We're going to make a statement out of this and we're going to get a bigger flag." I figured we'll really do it up right. We're going to get a flag big enough to cover up the entire wall of the Hanover Inn facing the campus Green. Okay?

Indians Take Down #6 Harvard

Dartmouth struck again late in the third quarter when Chris Little '05 broke free on a 35-yard touchdown run to give Dartmouth a 23-9 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Things appeared in control for the Indians until Harvard got a 55-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the final quarter to cut the lead to 23-16. Then the wackiness started.

Make Every Song Your Favorite Tune

It's bad enough that I have to spend several evenings a week pulling groin muscles and falling on gym mats.I should not have to endure this while listening to hippie music. This music could be used to wear down detainees at Guantanamo. No thanks, Peace Frog, I do not care to "groove" on a 38-minute live version of "Dark Star."

Judgment Ridge

Tulloch's and Parker's friendship consumed their lives. Tulloch exerted control in the relationship, dominating the younger boy, freely manipulating him, feeding his need for attention.Warning signs were present, but not on the surface. The boys always had ready excuses that did not betray their sinister motives.

Keepin' the Faith

When questioned on discrimination in hiring practices on the basis of religious faith or ideology Towey responded, "Planned Parenthood gets $200 million in federal dollars a year and discriminates in hiring...Homosexuals aren't going to go work at Jerry Falwell's soup kitchen."

Letters to the Editor

Buzzblather Sirs, Thank you for exposing the sheer ridiculousness of Buzzflood. Mr. Reidy, Mr. Sehgal, and their followers need to get over their inferiority complexes and realize that branding is for cows, not colleges. They should also realize that every...

Last Word

If you talk about race, it does not make you a racist. If you see distinctions between the genders, it does not make you a sexist... If you accept but don't celebrate homosexuality, it does not make you a homophobe....
Editorial

Brown Band-Aids VS. Board of Education

Perhaps the reason conservatives are opining in journals rather than the classroom is that most college professors have reduced their studies to politically-correct navel gazing.

Crying Wolf

The Review normally doesn't respond to the Dartmouth Free Press's articles, but, in their last installment, they published a narrative that has created a minor uproar on campus. Should it have? Our investigation reveals that the Free Press's facts just don't add up.
