Barrett's MixologyBy G. Rollo Begley | Tuesday, June 1, 2004 The Ivan Special 1 oz Vodka ![]() Combine ingredients over ice. This drink comes from a good friend of mine who tends bar at one of my favorite drinking institutions in the area. Unfortunately for me, the institution has a peculiar habit of not stocking bourbon, as for some reason they seem to prefer to cater to the 21-year-old freshman girl constituency, thus requiring me to go to some lengths to try to discover another alcohol worth consuming. As a general rule, vodka does not fall into this category, unless, of course you happen to be named Boris, and peach schnapps simply should never be consumed. Drinking as I was, however, with a gentleman named Ivan (which is just shorthand for Boris), I decided to branch out and try his latest concoction. I was surprisingly pleased, as I'm sure you will be. |
