The Tuck Mall Dormitories

Function: House 162 students
Expected Completion Date: Fall 2006
Cost: $22 million
Architect: Atkin, Olshin, Lawson-Bell
Located across from the Gold Coast, these two buildings will be connected by a glass atrium that overlooks Tuck Mall. Construction began earlier this week.


Kemeny-Haldeman Hall

Function: New home of the mathematics department and interdisciplinary institutes
Expected Completion Date: Fall 2006
Cost: $26 million
Architect: Moore Ruble Yudell and Bruner/Cott
Lounges, lab, offices, seminar rooms, and six 'smart' classrooms will serve the mathematics department. The building will also house offices for various College organizations.


New Dining Hall

Construction on the McLaughlin Cluster and an elevation of the new facility.

Function: Provide a "marketplace" of menu options in a conversation-friendly setting
Expected Completion Date: Next five to ten years
Cost: $30 million
Architect: Unknown
The College will build this new dining hall near the McLaughlin cluster. Plans also exist to renovate Thayer Hall, the primary dining facility.

Function: House 324 students
Expected Completion Date: Fall 2006
Cost: $44 million
Architect: Moore Ruble Yudell and Bruner/Cott
Two residence halls will feature singles and one-room doubles, as well as lounges and kitchens on every floor. A large common area will provide a College-approved party space.

Bradley and Gerry Halls, which house the mathematics department and other offices, are set to be demolished upon the completion of Kemeny Hall. Decorated with tiles, the twin buildings resemble a bathroom stall.
