The big story this time around is the surging defending Ivy champion men's soccer team, which has allowed just one goal in the month of October. Junior Lucas Richardson was the Ivy League player of the week after scoring the winning goal in the last seconds of the 1-0 victory against Yale on October 8. Their unbeaten streak ended at 8, however, as they suffered a 1-0 double overtime loss to Penn on the 16th. The loss drops Dartmouth to a second place Ivy tie behind Brown (2-1 Ivy, 6-2-4 overall). If the offense can find consistent goals to supplement a solid defense and tje impeccable goalkeeping of junior Rowan Anders, Dartmouth has a great shot at repeating their 2002 and 2004 Ivy Championships.

Golf
October 9 – 7th/20 at Yale McDonald Cup
October 17-18 At New England Championship, Mass.

Men's golf finished in the Yale Golf Tournament a scant nine shots behind first place Penn. Dartmouth was paced by Sophomore Jamie Wallace, who was fifth overall with a one-over par 36-hole score of 141. This lackluster performance followed the Indians' impressive second place finish in the ECAC fall championship the previous week, this time paced by junior Matt Uretsky, who finished in sixth place overall.
