Okay, so like, it was the first weekend of Summer vacay, so obviously the girls and I had to head down to Rosarito, Mexico. Kristen, Kelly M., April, Kelly S. and I packed our bikinis, Rainbows, halter tops and like a million bottles of Diet Coke into Kelly M.’s Jeep Wrangler and were totally headed down there as soon as school let out on Thursday afternoon. April made this mix tape called “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and it totally set the mood for a super fun weekend! Okay so anyway, we get to Rosarito and it was like 2:00 in the afternoon so obviously the strip and Señor Frogs and all that wasn’t open yet, but the sun was shining, so Kristen said we should go to the pool and of course we all agreed this was the best idea ever! So we all got our bikinis on and I was like “Kristen you look soooo cute,” and Kelly M. was like “Omigod April you look totally hot,” but then Kelly S. was like “Oh no girls! Where’re the margaritas?!” So we all looked around and we saw the halters and the Diet Coke but then we realized there was definitely no margarita mix and definitely no tequila. Kelly got all like, pissed at Kelly and was like “Kelly, the margaritas were totally assigned to you,” but Kelly was just like, “Gimme a break Kelly, don’t start.” April was totally right when she said “Girls, stop, but there’s still like no way I’m going to the pool without a cocktail.” Then I had an idea: “Why don’t we like just go buy some Bacardi and mix it with the Diet Coke?” We all looked at each other and at first we were still totally bummed because we were in Mexico and margaritas are like totally the Mexican drink, but then Kristen made a really good point and said, “Yeah! Bacardi is totally perfect because it’s from Puerto Rico and like that’s in Mexico right?!” Of course we all agreed that this was a super good point and ran down to the local liquor store. You can see why Kristen has definitely always been, like, the smartest one out of us all.
