REVOLUTIONARY: An oppressed person waiting for the opportunity to become an oppressor. Aristotle taught that the brain exists merely to cool the blood and is not involved in the process of thinking. This is true only of certain persons. “Some are so very studious of learning what was done by the ancients that they know not how to live with the moderns.” Today’s public figures can no longer write their own speeches or books, and there is some evidence that they can’t read them either. If smoking is not allowed in heaven, I shall not go. If surviving assassination attempts were an Olympic event, then I would win the gold medal. The errors of great men are venerable because they are more fruitful then the truths of little men. Political correctness is just tyranny with manners. My biggest weakness is my sensitivity. I am too sensitive a person. One day, my mother said to me, ‘If you become a soldier, you will be a general; if you become a monk you’ll end up as the pope.’ However, I became a painter and now I am Picasso. People demand freedom of speech as compensation for the freedom of thought they seldom use. When I can no longer bear to think of the victims of broken homes, I begin to think of the victims of intact ones. Education, n. That which discloses to the wise and disuguises the foolish their lack of understanding. |
