We at The Dartmouth Review express our condolences to the family and friends of Andrew Breitbart, a leading voice in the conservative movement. Blogger, publisher, commentator, and editor, Mr. Breitbart was and will remain an asset to the conservative movement and a role model for conservative journalists.
Joel Pollak, editor-in-chief and in-house counsel for Breitbart's website, Breitbart.com, posted a statement confirming his death: "Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles," the statement read. "We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior."
Mr. Breitbart spoke at TDR's anniversary Gala last year, describing how he arrived at his conservative beliefs well after college. His quick wit, sense of humor, and passion for investigative journalism certainly inspired everyone listening to his speech. I am glad that I got to meet him. I only wish more people could have been able to.
