This video, compiled by the Dartmouth Now team, shows some great scenes from Winter Carnivals from the 1930s to the 1960s. The shots of the snow sculptures are a must see. Unlike the past two dismal years, they were enormous and very intricate. Also don’t miss the retro skiing, club sculptures, and Winter Carnvial Queens. The spirit captured in these videos shows why Winter Carnival was once called the “Mardi Gras of the North.”
