All is not lost if turnout is high. The converse of what I said is this: high turnout means more of the likely voters will come out. All this means is that the higher the turnout, the more likely it is that recent “likely voter” polls will be accurate. There is, of course, a tipping point, beyond which the Dems bring out enough people to swamp the opposition. This tipping point is reached because turnout goes beyond likely voters and into registered — or even unlikely — voting populations. Will this happen in NH? Well, turnout is always pretty high there, so it’s an unlikely scenario. Just something to keep in mind.
