Mr. Anderson has worked for Dartmouth’s Office of Public Affairs – which handles the College’s media relations, news and editorial, and creative services teams to share the contributions of the Dartmouth student and faculty community – for nearly four years now. In his new position, he will now lead this vital office. Prior to Dartmouth, he had a 13-year broadcast journalism career at ABC News, and covered or managed the coverage of events such as the September 11th terrorist attacks, Senator John McCain’s presidential primary bid in 2000, Hurricane Katrina-affected New Orleans, and the 2008 presidential elections.

When announcing Mr. Anderson’s appointment, President Hanlon remarked, “Justin has been an insightful, creative, and effective leader since the moment he arrived on campus. His experience in the media world coupled with his impressive track record at Dartmouth make him the perfect choice to lead our communications efforts as we set our sights on distinguishing ourselves in an incredibly competitive world of higher education.”

The Review congratulates Mr. Anderson, and looks forward to better days for Dartmouth’s public relations.
