Cunningham, Dressel Win Student Assembly Election

Today, April 20th, Frank M. Cunningham III ’16 and Julia J. Dressel ’17 were declared the winners of this year’s Student Assembly (SA) election having edged out leading opponents Jacob Gaba ’16 and Penelope Williams ’17. Cunningham will serve as President of SA for the next year, and Dressel will serve as Vice President of SA.

According to a press release by the Elections Planning & Advisory Committee (EPAC), Cunningham received a total of 966 votes while Gaba received a total of 578 votes; Dressel received 1149 votes while Williams received 147 votes.

Additionally, Daniel C. Reitsch ’16 and Bradley N. Plunkett ’16 were elected President and Vice President, respectively, of the 2016 Class Council. Elisabeth J. Schricker ’17 and Andrew B. Goldfarb ’17 were elected President and Vice President, respectively, of the 2017 Class Council.

Prior to this election, Cunningham served as Vice President under former SA President Casey A. Dennis ’15. He additionally served on President Hanlon’s Steering Committee for his Moving Dartmouth Forward initiative — the details of which he discussed in a tell-all interview with The Dartmouth Review last term.
