Dartmouth tarnished Columbia’s homecoming on Saturday, rolling past the Lions 27-7 at Robert K. Kraft field. The Big Green were led by senior quarterback Alex Park, who got the start in place of Dalyn Williams (held out as a safety measure), and threw for 268 yards while tossing 2 touchdowns. Wide receiver Victor Williams caught two touchdowns, while receiver Ryan McManus had 7 catches for over 70 yards. Kyle Bramble rushed for 126 yards and the final Dartmouth touchdown, helping the Big Green cruise to a 20 point victory over Ivy League rival Columbia, even without their starting quarterback Dalyn Williams. The Big Green defense again played well, with junior linebacker Will McNamara (leading the Ivy League in tackles) accounting for 11 tackles and a crucial interception in the red zone. to halt Columbia in its tracks on a long offensive drive. Kicker Alex Gakenheimer added two field goals, and remains a perfect 7 for 7 on the season. Dartmouth hosts its biggest matchup of the season next weekend, when it takes on undefeated Harvard at Memorial Field for first place in the Ivy League Standings. Dartmouth and Harvard are the only 2 unbeaten teams in conference play, and the game will be televised nationally by NBC.
