Punt Return Shawn Abuhoff ’12 Selected to Preseason 1st Team All-American

College Sports Madness selected Indian punt returner, Shawn Abuhoff ’12, to the FCS preseason First Team All-American Team. Abuhoff enters his final football season in Hanover as a tri-captain, along with Tim McManus and Nick Schwieger. He is ranked nationally among the top 20 players in eight FCS career statistics. Abuhoff is tied for first place with three touchdowns off punt returns and third place for his punt return average of 11.9 yards. He is also in fourth place for kickoff return average (26.7 yards), sixth in punt return yardage (548) and 20th in interceptions per game (0.33). Although Indian Steven Jensen ’05 currently holds the Dartmouth College record for total yards off punt/kickoff returns with 2027, Shawn Abuhoff only needs 118 more yards to break the school record.
