U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Colleges 2012” ranked Dartmouth College 11th among best national universities and, for the third consecutive year, 1st in “Strong Commitment to Teaching.” Dartmouth was ranked 5th for “High School Counselors’ Picks” and 7th for “Great Schools, Great Prices.” Dartmouth remains among the top ten in the “Economic Diversity” category with 16 percent of students receiving Pell grants, which are award to students with family incomes under $20,000. The College was also acknowledged for outstanding study abroad programs and for its commitment to creative and advanced research.
