The Committee on Student Organizations today granted recognition to the Dartmouth chapter of Democracy for America, The Review has learned. Democracy for America is a grassroots organization which evolved from the ashes of Howard Dean’s failed presidential campaign to promote other “progressive” candidates. Sarah Ayres ’06, a former Deaniac, founded DFA at Dartmouth.
Another Dartmouth group Howard Dean inspired, Southerners for Dean, has yet to earn COSO recognition.
